Bat Box Trail

Hello! Welcome to the Bat Box Trail, a nature trail created and established by Ryann Bierman, a Girl Scout in Troop 22222. This website provides an online and interactive guide to the trail itself, which is located in Tanah Keeta Boy Scout Reservation in Jupiter, Florida.

GS Gold Award Project

This website and the trail are a part of a Girl Scout Gold Award project, which is the equivalent of an Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouts. You can learn more about the project and what a Gold Award is in the About the Project tab.

Start Here

Go to the Start tab and read the instructions there. As you move through each bat house tab, you will learn more about Florida’s native bats, conservation methods, and the importance of bats. If you are physically on the trail, directions to the next box will be at the bottom of the article of the box before.

Resources and Photo Gallery

For sources and photos, please go to the Resources and Photo Gallery tabs. If you find any inconsistencies in the site, have any questions, or have any observations about the trail, please use the email found in Contact Me. If you happen to see bats using the boxes, give them a wide berth and definitely contact us! Pictures are also welcomed and appreciated.
